New Knowledge!

Learning is fun! New or old things, knowledge is important to keep us update about the world around us. Today I learned new things on the internet 😦 and I have summed up the things I learned about today!

SEARCH ENGINE

-We knew these search engines like Yahoo! and Google, that uses algorithms to help us find whatever we want to find on the internet and identify the matches words and items (characters) entered by the user.

 -The search engine is important to help us find information produces by the government, organizations, groups or individuals. For example, finding statistic or reliable sources published by the government agencies or freely available articles published by the news.

ONLINE DATABASE

-library from the database allows you to search for published information, for example, journals,  magazines, and newspaper articles. Library articles can be divided into two: 

i)General (all-discipline)

ii)Discipline-specific (eg: psychology database)

COMPUTER-MEDIATED COMMUNICATION (CMC)

-is a process where human data interaction occurs through one or more networked telecommunication system. 

-Computer-mediated communication is divided into synchronous and asynchronous modes. 

ESL

-Methods of learning English are highly variable depending on the student's level of English proficiency and the manner and setting in which they are taught, which can range from required classes in school to self-directed study at home. In some programs, educational materials (including spoken lectures and written assignments) are provided in a mixture of English and the student's native language.
